In 1984, Drs. Randy McDaniel of Auburn University and Gary Sigmon of
Appalachian State University through partnerships with other national
professional associations, initiated the first National Issues Forum on Vocational
Evaluation and Assessment. Since that time, Forums have been held in 15
different states.

Forums usually highlight the latest developments in our profession as well as
controversaries within our profession and between others. Forum Issues Papers
were published in hard copy through 2007. Since that time, presenters were able
to submit Slide Decks or papers which were shared on the VECAP website or were
published in the VECAP Journal.

We hope you will use the Forum Issues Papers as resources. If you have not
attended a Forum, we hope you will. Typically, they are held every other year.
